CFBN Pricing Philosophy

We compete on quality, skilled coaching and professionalism – not price. There are many places in Bloomington-Normal that are much cheaper, but none offer better coaching, training or programming. You get what you pay for. Check out lower-priced places before you come to us so you know what you’re getting. If you’re looking for the best value, you’ve come to the right place.

STEP 1: FREE Saturday Class

Try us out for FREE! Every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CFBN offers a free introductory class. These are designed for anyone interested in CrossFit who would like to see what it’s about and what we have to offer. Individuals from any background or fitness level are welcome to attend!

The typical Free Saturday Class consists of introductions, followed by a group warm-up. From there, we’ll discuss and go over the movements involved in that day’s workout, followed by the workout itself. Finally, we’ll cool down, stretch, and answer any questions you may have.

There is no sign-up required for the Free Saturday Class. If you’d like to give it a try, just show up by 10:15 a.m. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring a towel if necessary.

STEP 2: On Ramp

Our On Ramp classes meet three days per week for two weeks (6 classes) and are required before joining our CrossFit Group Classes. No matter what your fitness level, the On Ramp Program is tailored to prepare you for the technical proficiency of our group classes.

During the On Ramp Program you and others in your specific group will be instructed in the proper technique for power lifts, Olympic lifts, gymnastic skills, metabolic conditioning, etc. You’ll also learn about nutrition and journal tracking. Throughout your On Ramp Program, movement technique will be taught alongside a progressive introduction to the intensity levels that are inherent in our CrossFit Group Classes. This ensures that you have a solid understanding of all that we do and safely prepares you for the larger CrossFit Group Classes.

New On Ramp Program classes start every 2 weeks, and costs $80. Check the SCHEDULE page for more information on days and times.

*For those of you who have been CrossFitting at home, or in a globo-gym/park, and would like to graduate straight to the CrossFit Group Classes, please contact us. If you come in low-key and respectful, AND have sound technique (judged by our coaches), it may be possible. The biggest hurdle is often adjusting to a class setting and intensity level, though it doesn’t take long. So, contact us and we’ll see where you’re at.

**Upon evaluation you may be asked to repeat On Ramp Program or begin a Personal Training Package to bring you up to speed.

ALTERNATE STEP 2: Private / Semi-Private On Ramp

If a scheduled On Ramp Program absolutely does not fit with your schedule, we can program your classes through private or semi-private sessions when you’re available. A Private or Semi-Private On Ramp Program will run a MINIMUM of six sessions and needs to be scheduled with your coach at the time of registration. At the discretion of a Coach, individuals may be required to complete additional sessions before being released to CrossFit Group Classes.

STEP 3: CrossFit Group Classes

Upon completion of our On Ramp Program, you may graduate to our CrossFit Group Class. These are held at several different times throughout the day to allow our athletes as much flexibility in scheduling as we can. On any given day, each CrossFit Group Class completes the same Workout of the Day (or WoD). CrossFit Group Classes are typically larger than On Ramp classes, but the community, camaraderie, and support of fellow CFBN athletes and coaches should help you feel right at home!

Currently, membership at CFBN requires individuals to pay a flat monthly rate. Members also have the option to pay for 6 & 12-month contracts in full if desired, but this is not required.

Once a member, you can come to ANY CrossFit Group Class, on ANY day, at ANY time, as well as any Open Gym times. Most members average around three to five classes per week. However, class sizes are limited, so all members are given a User Name and Password to sign on to our system and register in advance for classes. If you change your mind and decide not to come to a class, all we ask is that you cancel your spot so it frees up for anyone else who might want it.

PERSONAL / SEMI PRIVATE TRAINING

For individuals who are not interested in the group training atmosphere of our CrossFit Group Classes, we do offer personal training (PT). PT is 1-on-1 with a CFBN Coach for approximately 1 hour. Each PT session is individually based for that client, and sessions will grow and progress with the client’s ability level. If you feel PT is the route you would like to go, please stop by or call to set something up.

Additionally, should you desire Semi-Private PT (i.e., PT with family or friends), that can be arranged as well. Please stop by or call to set something up. The cost of PT will be similar to the Private/Semi-Private On Ramp Program, as seen above, but may vary by coach.

PUNCH CARDS

To qualify for a Punch Card, you must have completed our On Ramp Program. From there, punch cards are available for those who travel for work, or would just like to stop by on occasion. Punch Cards are good for one year from date of purchase and are checked off as you stop in for a class. All Punch Cards are good for 12 classes and cost $250.

30 MINUTE SKILL SESSION W/ COACH:

For any gym member who would like to spend any additional time working on any skill or lift, we offer 30-minute, one-on-one skill sessions with any of our skilled coaches. These sessions are focused around a single movement and designed to bring anyone up to speed who might consider themself lacking in any area. Running technique, kipping, etc. – whatever area you’re looking to improve – one of our coached 30-minute skill sessions can get you on the fast track.
