Roll Out…and Check-in…

This Saturday some of us CFBN peeps are merging exercise and technology on a 20 mile Twitter/Foursquare/Facebook biking adventure… , foursquare is a gps based social media application that you can download for most smart-phone’s. It lets you check in to places around you based on your location. So we are going to bike ride to 10 different playgrounds this Saturday and check in… for fun… and for exercise! And of course the crossfit part where we have to take it one step further… at each park find places to do pull-ups, burpees, hand-stand push-ups, and so on… and of course we will take pics and video, and then post them on Facebook and Twitter, cause that’s just how we roll…

Strength: Deadlift week 2:

3 @ 70% (of 90%)

3 @ 80% (of 90%)

AMRAP @ 90% (of 90%)

WoD: For Time: “Burpee Sandwich”

Start with 15 Burpees

Then:

40 Double-Unders, 4 KB Snatches/hand

30 Double-Unders, 6 KB Snatches/hand

20 Double-Unders, 8 KB Snatches/hand

10 Double-Unders, 10 KB Snatches/hand

Finish with 15 Burpees

While several members were getting smarter at the level one certification this weekend, another group was just getting dirtier… We had a team of five head up to Valparaiso, IN to take part in the super muddy Mudathlon event.

What is that you ask, it was 21 obstacles spread out over a 5k race. Map of the course here. And you can see all the pictures from our adventure here…

If you look at the course maps you will see that crossfit is basically the perfect training for these types of races. Does this sound like something you would be interested in doing?
